HONORARY CONSUL OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA IN KHARKIV

Shahin Omarov, together with a delegation from Albania, took part in the international forum “Preservation and Development of the Albanian Cultural Heritage of Ukraine: Problem Issues and Ways to Implement It”

In the framework of the international forum in Izmail State Humanitarian University, a meeting was held between the State Minister of Albania for the Diaspora, Mr. Maiko Pandeli, and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania, Shahin Omarov, with the Albanian diaspora of the Odessa region.

The forum was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Izmail State Humanitarian University, the Obor Shiptar Albanian Community, the Bessarabia Development Center public organization, the Union of Albanians of Ukraine Public Organization.

In his welcoming speech, Maiko Pandeli expressed interest in expanding ties between the Albanian diasporas in different countries, expressed gratitude for the Albanians preserving the Albanian language of Ukraine and national traditions, and expressed readiness to discuss the existing problems.

Among the participants of the forum were Albanians from England, Moldova, Kosovo, Russia, from different cities of Ukraine, representatives of the public organization «Izmail Albanian community «Obor Shiptar» headed by I. Rusinsky and representatives of the Albanian diaspora Karakurt.
