HONORARY CONSUL OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA IN KHARKIV

Shahin Omarov, Honorary Consul of Albania, took part in the ceremony of presenting the Prize of the Righteous Among the Nations

At the invitation of the Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Administration, Shahin Omarov took part in a ceremony at which the Ambassador of the State of Israel in Ukraine Joel Lyon handed over the posthumous award of the Righteous Among the Nations to spouses Aleksey and Ulyana Fedoseyev. This award was accepted by their only relative, Kharkiv resident Lyudmila Sorokolat, whose search in the Israeli side took 7 years.

PS. Over the past 25 years, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Ukraine presented awards to 2634 brave Ukrainians. This title expresses gratitude to the State of Israel and the Jewish people to those few who helped Jews, risk their lives, save Jews during the Holocaust.
