The Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Shahin Omarov, gave an interview to the Albanian TV channel Report-TV, where he spoke about the situation in Ukraine.

The Honorary Consul described the current situation in the country objectively, insisting on the lack of panic and people's faith in resolving the conflict through diplomacy.

Mr. Shahin Omarov also denied a number of fake reports, such as the fact that Ukrainians are buying up weapons en masse. On the contrary, it was explained to the Albanian audience that there are territorial defense units that are trained to coordinate actions in the event of an emergency.

The President of Ukraine, the Government and the entire diplomatic corps are making every effort to prevent the start of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine.

"I hope diplomacy will win," Mr Shahin Omarov concluded.
