HONORARY CONSUL OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA IN KHARKIV

Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania took part in the events on August 23.

Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov took part in laying flowers at the Memorial of Glory in the forest park on the occasion of celebrations to mark the 72th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Kharkiv. Along the Glory Memorial marched soldiers and students of military universities of Kharkiv.

Also on the same day a ceremony of raising the National Flag of Ukraine on the occasion of the Day of the State Flag of Ukraine was held.

To the sounds of the anthem of Ukraine volleys sounded on the occasion of the Day of the National Flag, folk groups of Slobodian region made performances.

The event was attended by the Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Kharkiv Mayor, representatives of the diplomatic corps of the city, as well as the general public.

Reference. Decree on establishment of National Flag Day "in honor of a centuries-old history of the Ukrainian state, the state symbols of independent Ukraine and to educate citizens to respect the state symbols of Ukraine" signed by the President of Ukraine August 23, 2004.

Also, at the invitation of Kharkiv City Council, Honorary Consul visited the festive concert and the opening of the fountain in the Shevchenko city garden.
