September 6, 2015 the village Zhovtneve of Bolgrad District, Odessa Region celebrated its 204 anniversary!
07.09.2015September 6, p. Zhovtneve events were held to celebrate the 204 anniversary of the founding of the village. It is the only village in Odessa region, densely populated by ethnic Albanians, managed through the centuries to preserve their way of life, culture, traditions and language.

In Ukraine, the first Albanian-language groups emerged during the mass immigration of the Orthodox peoples of the Ottoman Bulgaria in Bucak in 1811. Currently living in one compact village in Odessa region (Zhovtneve, Bolgrad District), as well as three villages of Zaporizhia region (Georgiyevka, Devninskoe and Gamovka near Melitopol). The total number of them is up to 5 000 people, divided about equally between Odessa and Zaporozhye regions. They are in particular interest among ethnographers, who study Eastern Europe since 30s of the twentieth century. Ethnographic and dialectological analysis, as well as having a historical data point to the next trajectory resettlement Arnautov in Ukraine: from the vicinity of the modern Albanian city of Korca their ancestors settled in the vicinity of the Bulgarian town of Sliven, then settled near Varna, and finally, through Galati (Romania) moved to Bucak. The Bucak arnauts founded three villages in the district of the former Nogay Karakurt tract. According to others, arnauts just swapped homes with Muslims Nogays that the status of Muhajirs moved for a new border of the Ottoman Empire. An additional incentive for resettlement of Arnauts in Ukraine became more fertile land Danubian Plain. This group was Albanian Orthodox settlers, spoke on Tosk dialect of the Albanian language and, based on more recent data and ethnographic topographic analysis, they characterized themselves as arnauts. Due to the fact that the first Arnaut settlers maintained a high degree of solidarity with the migrated with them Bulgarians and Gagauz, Russian authorities have long considered them as part of the Bulgarian ethnic group. The Ottoman authorities considered all refugees from its territory only in a religious context. In 1861-1862 gg., Not wanting to be united under the rule of Romania, which in the 1856-1878 years of supervised Southern Bessarabia as a vassal of the Ottoman Empire, part of the neighborhoods os budzhak Arnauts of Bolhrad moved to Zaporozhye (Sea of Azov), where there were three more Albanian-language village.

September 6, 2015 the next, 204th anniversary of the founding of their settlement marked the villagers Zhovtneve Bolgrad district. The festive event was attended by the chairman of the Bolgrad district council M.A.Gaydarzhi.
In her speech, Maria Alexandrovna noted that Zhovtneve people love their small home, they honor and preserve the customs and traditions of their people, develop agriculture, business and culture. Zhovtneve village – the only village in the south of the of Odessa region, densely populated by Albanians. It links to the historic ancestral home is marked 2015. This year Zhovtneve was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania in Poland and Ukraine, Mrs. Shpresa Kureta and Honorary Consul of Albania in Kharkov, Mr. Shahin Omarov, thanks to whom a delegation of the Albanian diaspora of Bolgrad District was honored to speak at the opening of the Albanian consulate in Kharkiv. Currently Deputy Director Zhovtneve school Kircheva N. is studying at the University of Tirana Republic of Albania, which will make possible to enter into the learning process of learning Albanian language more closely to join the culture of his people.
Then the chairman of the District Council District Council said letters most distinguished themselves in various fields of the villagers and farm managers.
