Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha
24.09.2015September 24 2015 events on the occasion of one of the most important holidays in Islam – Eid al-Adha were held. Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov visited Muslim mosque in Kharkiv. After the prayers and sacred rite of sacrifice, friends and the poor were treated with sheep meat. The Honorary Consul also visited the camp, where internally displaced persons from Lugansk and Donetsk regions live, they were also given meat.
Eid al-Adha is celebrated 70 days after the feast of Eid al-Fitr to commemorate the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim. Eid al-Adha is celebrated in the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah.
