HONORARY CONSUL OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA IN KHARKIV

September 30, 2015 Ukrainian International Tourism Market opened in Kyiv.

Since September 30, 2015 a major event in the sphere of tourism in Ukraine - International Tourism Exhibition is held in Kyiv. The international exhibition center collected a lot of missions, demonstrating the capabilities of their countries in the tourism sector, as well as a large number of travel companies, operators and a variety of carriers offering services in the field of tourism.

At the invitation of the organizers for the event came the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov. Among the guests of honor, he was invited to the stage as part of the official opening ceremony of the International Exhibition.

The Republic of Albania at the exhibition had a separate stand, where the country was presented to all of the participants and guests of the exhibition by the , Director of Marketing and Promotion of Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Business, Mr. Krenar Kalo. Also, there were present representatives of the tourism sector of Albania - the owners of the tourist company "Aler Travel", which receives tourists from Ukraine in Albania. Albania was also represented by the Ukrainian travel company that provides tours for citizens of Ukraine in Albania.

At the stands of the Ministry and tourist company there were shown videos, professionally filmed to represent the country in the tourist market of Ukraine. Also, visitors were given various printed materials. Separately, there was presented a book about Albania, written by Ukrainian author.

Honorary consuls also met the Director of the Department. They discussed prospects for bilateral tourism development between Ukraine and Albania, the existing problems in the industry and ways to overcome them.

During the exhibition, the results of ending the tourist season, as well as plans for the next holiday season were discussed. One of the highlights was the discussion of charter flights from Kiev to Tirana from 28 April 2016, which will allow a much greater number of Ukrainian tourists to visit the Republic of Albania. It is worth noting that the results by the current tourist season, the occupancy on flights from Kiev to Tirana was almost 100%, which allows the conclusion that Albania is a very attractive tourist destination for Ukrainian tourists.
