Ambassador of Albania Shpresa Kureta visited NTU "KhPI"

September 22, 2016 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania Shpresa Kureta together with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov visited the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute". They held a meeting with the Rector Yevgen Sokol. The meeting was also attended by several vice-rectors and deans of the University, who are responsible for international students and international cooperation.

During the meeting, Rector told the Ambassador about the rich history of the university, on the existing research centers, laboratories, stations, on the preparation of students and scientific personnel, on a multidisciplinary and intensive research activities of the institution. A separate item was the presentation of a new direction in the activity of NTU "KhPI" - the provision of educational services on distance. Under this program, university had already opened a representative office in Istanbul. These centers will help to get higher education at any level, without having to leave their country, such services are also cheaper than a classical education. Rector said that, in connection with existing contacts with university’s wide network of partners, education will be available in almost any field, not just technical.
