HONORARY CONSUL OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA IN KHARKIV

Honorary Consul held a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania on September 27.

 September 27, 2016 Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov had a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania. The meeting was attended by the Director of the Department of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora - Ms. Donika Hoxha, Head of the Section of Economics - Ms. Silvana Leskaj, Head of the Department of diasporas - Mr. Armand Shandro. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Guri Salmani from the Consular Department of MFA. During the meeting, the Honorary Consul Shahin Omarov provided information on the work done, including the organization of the recent visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania in Poland and Ukraine Mrs. Shpresa Kureta. The organization of the forthcoming visit of a delegation from the Kharkiv region to Albania was discussed. Also, the attention was paid to the discussion of the issue of cooperation in the sphere of economy, the support of the Diaspora in Ukraine, separately the Diaspora summit in Tirana, scheduled for 18-20 November 2016 as the first event of this magnitude, organized at the initiative of the Albanian Government was discussed. The organization of the event in Kyiv, dedicated to the Independence Day of Albania, scheduled for December 2 was also discussed.
