The Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov took part in the Summit of the Albanian Diaspora

About 800 representatives of the Albanian diaspora from around the world gathered in Tirana. The representatives of the Albanian diaspora from 40 countries, including  Ukraine,  the United States, Germany and other countries, take part in the three-day event.   

The organizers of the summit stressed that the main purpose of the summit was to satisfy the needs of countries of eagles and to make better use of its vast diaspora.

A key outcome of the event was the creation of cross-institutional expert group, which will cope with the problems of the Albanian community from around the world. In addition, it is expected that in the future for the same purpose abroad there will be created numerous advisory boards of the Albanian community.

In a video message to the representatives of the diaspora, Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama called the event truly historic. The politician said that the Albanian government seeks to increase the involvement of the Diaspora in the political and social life of Albania.

Summit Program provides familiarity with the Albanian diaspora in different countries and to determine their role in the development of Albania, as well as a visit to the municipality and the historical monuments of Albanian culture.

Honorary Consul took part in the section "Albanian tourism, the current state and prospects" and "Organization of the Diaspora and its role in national development: the experience of the world."
