HONORARY CONSUL OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA IN KHARKIV

There took place a concert on the occasion of Independence Day of the Republic of Albania in Kiyv

December 2, 2016 in the Column Hall of Kyiv City State Administration held a ceremony on the occasion of the Republic of Albania's Independence Day. The program of the celebration was the concert, as well as the reception on behalf of the Albanian Ambassador was provided. Guests were met by a string quartet. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania Shpresa Kureta and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov gave a greeting speech at the opening of the event. Among the honorary  guests of the concert were  Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports for European Integration Mykola Movchan, deputy mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov, Deputy Head of Kharkiv Regional Council Vladimir Skorobagach, the members of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, more than 20 ambassadors of various countries accredited in Ukraine, representatives of local and the central authorities, public organizations and mass media. The celebration of Independence Day was also  attended by representatives of the Albanian diaspora. Within the concert such artists took floor as: National Artist of Ukraine, the ambassador of peace, Gurban Abbasov, winner of the international festivals and competitions, Maria Buchakchiyskaya, folk groups of the Albanian diaspora in Zaporozhye and Odessa regions, choreographer and ballet master Nelly Syupyur, winners of international competitions and festivals, saxophonist Zia Beyleri and world famous performer on the grand piano Dhurata Lazo.
