22.01.2016  Honorary Consul met with the resident of Kharkiv.

Shahin Omarov met with interested in strengthening of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Albania resident of Kharkiv Leonid. Honorary Consul briefly described the activities of the Consulate, presented the achievements. During the conversation it became known that Leonid is also interested in studying of the Albanian language, so after meeting Shahin Omarov presented the guest book for the study of the Albanian language, transferred to Ukraine by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania.

A meeting of the Honorary Consul Shahin Omarov with the director of HKS Company Khodyreva Irina was held. During the meeting the sides discussed the Republic of Albania as a tourist destination, the issue of cooperation of the Honorary Consulate with the travel company, support in opening of direct charter flights to Tirana from the city of Kharkiv.

14.02.2016   Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv took part in the television show.

Published the transfer of "Na chasі" broadcast channel OTB. Honorary Consul spoke about the role of religion and ideology in the modern world and, in particular, in Albania. He noted that Albania is a secular and democratic state that respects the choice of any religion, and many religions coexist on an equal footing.

26.02.2016 Honorary Consul made an official visit to Odesa region.

During the visit, the Honorary Consul met the Head of Bolgrad District Council Dmytro Dimitrov, as well as the Head of Zhovtneve village council Olena Zhecheva. The Consul also visited Zhovtneva secondary school, where pupils met him in the national Albanian costumes and prepared the reception ceremony. Also, the school held an lesson of the Albanian language, which was held by Natalia Kircheva – teacher, who participated in one month course of study of the Albanian language in the University of Tirana. After the lesson, Shahin Omarov presented books on Albanian language to pupils, passed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania to the Albanian community.

 

16.03.2016 Honorary Consul delivered a speech to students.

By  the invitation of the UNESCO Chair of Kharkiv National Technical University of Agriculture named after Petro Vasylenko the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv took part in the meeting of the debate club. At the meeting, the topic of influence of religions in today's world on the economic, political and social issues was raised.

06.04.2016  Honorary Consul gave a speech at the parliamentary hearings in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Kiev).

11.04.2016 The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Albania held a meeting in the framework of the project "Children for peace throughout the world"

a meeting of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov with representatives of the organizing committee of the International social project "Children for peace in the world", "Promin IF" Public organizations, as well as a representative of the Ukrainian Book of Records took place.

12.04.2016 The next stage of the International social project "Children for peace throughout the world" took place in Kharkiv.

in Kharkiv the next stage of the International social project "Children for peace in the world" was held. The event was organized at the initiative of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv, Shahin Omarov. It was held in the Palace of students of NTU "KPI".

The International project was initiated by the Honorary Consul of Hungary in  Ivano-Frankivsk Vasil Vyshyvanyuk, and with the support of the Embassy of Hungary in Ukraine and Charity Foundation "Revival Prykarpattya". In the city of Kharkiv the event was supported by the representatives of regional and city authorities. During the event 450 children from schools in the city of Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region of various ages were present. Participants of the social project in Kharkiv set a record of Ukraine in the "Mass actions" category, creating the largest map of Albania with the wishes of peace on the paper doves. The event was attended by the representative of the Ukrainian Book of Records Anna Krysyuk, so this record was officially recorded. After the official announcement of the record, all involved in the creation of the largest map children received diplomas. Further, such a map will be delivered to Albania by the Honorary Consul Shahin Omarov, and there local children will write wishes to Ukrainian children.

13.04.2016 Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv held a meeting with the Honorary Consul of Hungary.

Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov met the Honorary Consul of Hungary in Ivano-Frankivsk Vasil Vyshyvanyuk. The parties discussed the successfully completed stage of the International Social project "Children for peace in the world", future cooperation between the Honorary Consulate in the organization of projects and the work of their institutions.

14.04.2016 2 new charter flights will be launched to the Republic of Albania.

Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv has the honor to inform about the launch of new charter flights to the capital of the Republic of Albania - Tirana. For the first time in the history of Ukraine air travel will be launched from Kharkiv and Odessa.

 

28.04.2016 meetings with tour operators and representatives of travel agencies and tour operator "HRS-Group" (Kharkov)

The Consul told the representatives of the tourism sector of the Kharkov region of Albania as a whole, of its economy, politics, culture. Special attention was paid to tourism in Albania.

13.05.2016 Honorary Consul of Albania took part in a TV show.

A  TV program on OTB channel went live, where the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov was a guest. The consul told about the held of the stage of International social project “Children for peace throughout the world” in Kharkiv, about economic relations between Ukraine and Albania.

22-24.05.2016 Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania made a working visit to Tirana.

On May 22, 2016 Shahin Omarov paid  a working visit to the capital of Albania, Tirana. The MP of Ukraine, Chairman of the Group of the Verkhovna Rada on inter-parliamentary relations with the Republic of Albania Vitaly Kurylo.

May 23, 2016 in the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Albania a meeting was held. The guests were received by the Deputy Minister of Education and Sports, Nora Malay. Also during the meeting were present the Director of the Department of European Integration and the Director of the Department of Diaspora of the Ministry. The sides discussed the current situation in the relations in the field of education between the two countries, stressed the importance of cooperation in this field

May 23 Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania Shahin Omarov, as well as the MP of Ukraine Vitaliy Kurylo held a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania with the Director of the Department of Europe and Central Asia Mimosa Halimi.

The sides discussed the current political and diplomatic situation in relations between Ukraine and Albania, gave a positive assessment of the mutual support at the international arena. During the meeting special attention was paid to the development of relations in the economic sphere. The parties have identified the most promising of the possible areas of cooperation, discussed existing obstacles to their development.

May 24, a meeting of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov, as well as the MP of Ukraine, Chairman of the Group of the Verkhovna Rada on inter-parliamentary relations with the Republic of Albania Vitali Kurylo with the Chairman of the group of the Albanian Parliament on inter-parliamentary relations with Ukraine Piro Lutaj was held. This meeting - a historic event, as it was the first time when the chairpersons of the two parliamentary groups met. During the meeting the sides exchanged views, outlined the formation of normative base documents, improvement of economic relations between the two countries, and discussed cooperation on the parliamentary level, as well as the further deepening and expansion of relations between the countries.

May 24, a meeting of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov, as well as the MP of Ukraine Vitaly Kurilo with Minister of Economy Milva Ekonomi was held. The sides discussed the current situation in the economy between Ukraine and Albania, noted that this area requires the development. As part of the conversation Honorary Consul stressed the need to create the free economic zone between the countries, to initiate the establishment of an intergovernmental commission on the development of relations and writing the roadmap of development of economic cooperation.

May 24, in Tirana, capital of Albania, the stage of the International social project "Children for peace around the world" was hosted. The event was organized at the initiative of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov. A project was held at the school named after Niket Dardani. The event was able to organize with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Parliament, the Ministry of Education and Sports, as well as the school administration. The project was attended by the MP of the Albanian Parliament, the Chairman of the Group for Inter-parliamentary Relations with Ukraine - Piro Lutaj, Director of the Department for Europe and Central Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Albania Mimoza Halimi, representatives of the Ministry of Education - Director of the Department of diasporas, as well as the Director the Department of Regional Education of Tirana.

06.06.2016  Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov, took part in the celebrations to mark the completion of the international social project "Children for peace throughout the world!".

The final stage of the competition took place on June 6 in Kiev at the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theatre. It was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Embassies and consulates accredited in Ukraine (project partners), children and guests.

02.07.2016 Honorary Consul met with representatives of the Albanian Diaspora.

1 and 2 July representatives of the Albanian diaspora from Odessa and Zaporozhye regions came to Kharkiv for a meeting with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania Shahin Omarov. Guests discussed in a lively discussion with the Honorary Consul the history of Albanians of Ukraine, their way of life and culture today.  Honorary Consul spoke about the programs of study of the Albanian language in Tirana and asked the representatives of the diaspora to propose candidates to pass these courses.

04.09.2016 Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania paid a working visit to Warsaw, Poland.

4-5 September 2016 Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov paid a working visit to Warsaw, Poland. At the invitation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania in Poland and Ukraine Shpresa Kureta on September 4th Honorary Consul took part in a solemn Mass on the occasion of the canonization of Mother Teresa. September 5th Honorary Consul met with Ambassador Shpresa Kureta at the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Warsaw. At the meeting the sides discussed the work plan for the Honorary Consulate, as well as activities for the coming period.

21.09.2016 the Honorary consul with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania in Ukraine Shpresa Kureta had meetings in MFA of Ukraine

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania in Poland and Ukraine Shpresa Kureta arrived to Ukraine with an official visit. During the visit, Ambassador was accompanied by the Honorary consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov. .At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Ambassador held a meeting with the Director of the Second European Department Yuri Mushka. The results of cooperation between the two countries over the past period were discussed, the importance of intensifying relations was emphasized at the meeting. Special attention was paid to the preparation of an agreement on the abolition of visas for Albanian citizens to Ukraine.

At the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Ambassador and Honorary Consul met with the Deputy Minister Roman Greba. The topic of studying of the Albanian language in schools of Odessa and Zaporozhye region, issues of studying of students from Albania in the universities of Ukraine were specified.  The Ambassador informed about the official opening of the Albanian language class in Zaporizhya region on 24 September. Also, Ambassador and the Honorary Consul met with the Head of the group of the Verkhovna Rada on inter-parliamentary relations with the Republic of Albania, the MP of Ukraine Vitaliy Kurylo.

 

22.09.2016 Shpresa Kureta and Shahin Omarov had a meeting in the Kharkiv City Council.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania in Poland and Ukraine Shpresa Kureta held a meeting with the Secretary of the Kharkiv City Council Alexander Novak. Secretary of the City Council spoke about the potential of the city, on possible areas of cooperation with Albania.

22.09.2016 Ambassador of Albania Shpresa Kureta and the Honorary consul visited NTU "KhPI"

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania Shpresa Kureta together with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov visited the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute". They held a meeting with the Rector Yevgen Sokol. The meeting was also attended by several vice-rectors and deans of the University, who are responsible for international students and international cooperation.

22.09.2016 Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Ukraine  and the Honorary consul held a meeting with Acting Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania in Poland and Ukraine Shpresa Kureta met the Acting Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yuliya Svetlichna. Parties recalled a meeting at the administration in June 2015, discussed cooperation in the field of education, the possibility of opening the Department of the Albanian language in Kharkiv universities.

23.09.2016 2016 Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Ukraine  and the Honorary consul visited VIII International Business Forum was held In Kharkiv.

At the invitation of Kharkiv Regional State Administration at the VIII International Business Forum "Innovation. Investments. Kharkiv initiatives." Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania Shpresa Kureta, and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov were present.

24.09.2016 Ambassador of the Republic of Albania together with the Honorary Consul visited Zaporizhya region.

In the village Priazovske (Center of the District, where the representatives of the Albanian Diaspora live) Ambassador and Honorary Consul met with the administration of the region and district. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of Zaporizhzhya Regional Council, head of the Priazovski District State Administration, Chairman of the Priazovski District Council, Director of the Department of Education of Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration, the Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Priazovski district administration. The sides discussed the Albanian diaspora in Ukraine, the history of its occurrence, the economic situation of modern Albania, possible areas of cooperation between the two countries.

26.09.2016 Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania met with the Deputy Mayor of Tirana.

Consul held a meeting in the Municipality of Tirana with the vice-mayor Abaz Hado. At the meeting Shahin Omarov transmitted to the local authorities in Tirana the draft agreement on sister city, preliminary compiled in Kharkiv. Following the discussion, the parties agreed on the possibility of signing such agreements in the future.

27.09.2016 Honorary Consul held a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania on September 27.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Department of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora - Ms. Donika Hoxha, Head of the Section of Economics - Ms. Silvana Leskaj, Head of the Department of diasporas - Mr. Armand Shandro. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Guri Salmani from the Consular Department of MFA. During the meeting, the Honorary Consul Shahin Omarov provided information on the work done, including the organization of the recent visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania in Poland and Ukraine Mrs. Shpresa Kureta.

27.09.2016 Shahin Omarov visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana.

Shahin Omarov met with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana Nikolin Jaka. During the meeting the parties discussed the organization of the forthcoming visit of a delegation from the Kharkiv region to Albania, as well as the possibility of signing of a memorandum of cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kharkiv.

28.09.2016 Honorary Consul of Albania held a meeting in the Albanian Agency for Investments.

Honorary Consul held the meeting with the CEO of the Albanian Investment and Development Agency (AIDA) Genti Beqiri. The consul gave the Director-General the information about the potential of economic cooperation with Ukraine and, in particular, with the Kharkiv region, and the CEO, in turn, provided information about the prospects of attracting investors in Albania.

28.09.2016 Honorary Consul of Albania visited the Polytechnic University of Tirana.

Shahin Omarov met with the Rector of the Polytechnic University of Tirana. During the meeting the sides discussed the importance of international cooperation for the common interests of the two countries, it have been found that the relations could be developed, namely in the fields of the mutual exchanges of students, recognition of diplomas, the organization of conferences, round tables, the organization of joint research projects.

22.10.2016 Vice-President of the Association «Taste of Peace. Jerusalem» visiting the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania Shahin Omarov

Honorary Consul Shahin Omarov welcomed guests from the Association of «Taste of Peace. Jerusalem » Ms. Mimosa Balla, vice president and international coordinator of the Association «Taste of Peace. Jerusalem», member of Albanian chefs club, international judge, accredited by the World Association of Chefs communities (WACS), as well as her fellow judges from Albania.

25.10.2016 The Honorary Consul met with the author of the book "Kalinovy Region» Lubomir Kaluska in the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv

At the meeting with the Honorary Consul  Shahin Omarov, Lubomir Kaluska presented its practice-oriented collection of materials to be used in work with children of 1-4 years of education in Western Ukrainian diaspora schools.

02.11.2016  Honorary consul gave a speech in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at the parliamentary hearings on the subject "Valuable orientations of modern Ukrainian youth" (Kiev)

18-20.11.2016 The Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Kharkiv Shahin Omarov took part in the Summit of the Albanian Diaspora

Honorary Consul Shahin Omarov held informal meetings with the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania Ditmir Bushari, with the mayor of Tirana Erion Beliai, as well as with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo Enver Hojai. During the meeting the parties stressed the importance of establishing and strengthening relations in the economic, tourism, cultural and international cooperation.

 

01.12.2016 interview on the channel "TRK KYIV"

During an interview with Honorary Consul spoke about the latest achievements in the development of Ukrainian-Albanian relations in the fields of culture, economy and tourism.

02.12.2016 There took place a concert on the occasion of Independence Day of the Republic of Albania in Kiyv

In the Column Hall of Kyiv City State Administration held a ceremony on the occasion of the Republic of Albania's Independence Day. The program of the celebration was the concert, as well as the reception on behalf of the Albanian Ambassador was provided. Among the honorary  guests of the concert were  Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports for European Integration Mykola Movchan, deputy mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov, Deputy Head of Kharkiv Regional Council Vladimir Skorobagach, the members of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, more than 20 ambassadors of various countries accredited in Ukraine, representatives of local and the central authorities, public organizations and mass media. The celebration of Independence Day was also  attended by representatives of the Albanian diaspora. Within the concert such artists took floor as: National Artist of Ukraine, the ambassador of peace, Gurban Abbasov, winner of the international festivals and competitions, Maria Buchakchiyskaya, folk groups of the Albanian diaspora in Zaporozhye and Odessa regions, choreographer and ballet master Nelly Syupyur, winners of international competitions and festivals, saxophonist Zia Beyleri and world famous performer on the grand piano Dhurata Lazo.
